The organization FCKH8 has made a name for itself with a series of bold pro-LGBT equality campaigns and has now set its sights on the Olympics and Russia’s antigay legislation banning “gay propaganda,” with a new campaign.
The organization has produced a pro-LGBT coloring book, Misha & His Moms Go to the Olympics, and is mailing 10,000 copies to kids in Russia during the Winter Games in Sochi.
The coloring book highlights not only a diverse array of families but also the mistreatment of LGBT people in Russia and hopes for positive messages of LGBT acceptance at the Sochi games.
A bill barring same-sex couples from foreign countries from adopting Russian children, which was signed by Russian president Vladimir Putin in July, and the fear it has caused for many children who have been adopted by same-sex parents is also depicted in the coloring book.
